The Office of Environmental Management (EM) Office of Technology set its sights upon artificial intelligence and machine learning as part of the Federal Remediation Technologies Roundtable. Participants centered on the results of artificial intelligence and machine learning projects related to advanced contaminant plume characterization. The group also looked at predictive modeling and improved cleanup efficiency.
Members of the roundtable reviewed advances in technology for machine learning including robotics, unmanned systems, and analysis of large data sets supporting site characterization and remediation.
The aim of the discussions were to provide valuable information and best practices for the deployment of artificial intelligence and machine learning for agencies, laboratories and academia.
